MAC Hey Sailor, Sail la Vie Lipstick review

Okay so i put my hands up, id be the first to admit that i am a total sucker for limited edition packaging, but long gone are the days when i dreamed of owning every lipstick and blush etc from every MAC collection, instead i will actually look at the collection and pick things that i know i will use and love.
So MAC have done it once again and released another gorgeously packaged limited edition summer collection, Hey sailor based on vintage pin up girls is full of bold colours and plenty of stripes!!
with navy and white stripes, gold writing and red inner packaging whats not to love ;)
i managed to end up buying three things from the collection, the first thing that was added to my basket was the orange red toned lipstick sail la vie, the minute i saw it i fell hook, line and sinker (ha). Sail la vie is listed as a bright mid tone orange, but i would say it sways more towards a red than an orange, its a gorgeous bold colour, i dont think its an every day lipstick but for nights out its perfect
Sail la vie reminds me very much of Hibiscus from last years surf baby collection, but it is definitely more of an orange tone to Hibiscus which is more pink toned, this is the only shade i can compare it to, because apart from bright pinks these are the only red/ orange bold colours i have in my possession (il confess im a scaredy cat in terms of using orange/reds haha)
Sail la vie is a satin finish, but feels slightly drying. It is a bold, buildable colour and like all MAC lipsticks is pretty long lasting
Sail la vie along with all the lipsticks in the collection are £14 each, but for the quality and the gorgeous packaging (yes i really am a sucker for packaging) it is totally worth it!!

Have you tried anything from the MAC collection??
Are you a sucker for limited edition packaging??
